Dreamlawns provides lawn care, outdoor pest control, aeration and seeding, and tree and shrub care in Virginia Beach and the surrounding Hampton Roads area. This policy explains what information we collect through dreamlawnsvb.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
We collect only what you give us through the site, plus basic technical data that your browser sends automatically.
Service requests (Get Started form). Your name, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, any notes you add, and whether you want a gift card.
Job applications (Join Our Team form). Your name, email address, phone number, your answers about your driver’s license, driving record, and pesticide applicator’s license, and the names and contact details of references you list. If you list a reference, please make sure they are comfortable being contacted.
Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, we collect what you type in the form, plus your IP address and browser details to help catch spam.
Calls, emails, and our customer portal. If you contact us directly, we keep the details you share so we can help you. Account and billing information you enter in our customer portal is handled by that portal’s provider (see Third-party services below).
Automatic data. Our site and its providers record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived. We do not ask for payment card details on this website.
How we use information
We use your information to:
- Reply to your inquiry, give you a quote, and schedule service
- Review job applications and check references
- Run, secure, and improve the website, including blocking spam and attacks
- Understand which pages people find useful
- Meet legal and tax obligations
We do not use your information for automated decisions that affect you, and we do not sell it.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Our site itself sets few cookies, but the services it uses do:
- Google Analytics sets cookies that count visits and show which pages are viewed, so we can see what is useful.
- Google reCAPTCHA sets cookies and reads browser details to tell people from bots on our forms.
- Google Maps may set cookies when the map on our site loads.
- WordPress sets cookies for staff who log in, and, if you tick the box on the comment form, one to remember your name and email for a year.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though forms may not submit if reCAPTCHA is blocked. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

These providers receive only what they need to do their job, and they have their own policies for how they handle it.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- The service providers listed above, to run the site and our business
- Employees and contractors who need it to serve you or review an application
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, customers, or staff
- A buyer, if Dreamlawns is ever sold or merged, who would take over this policy
Text messages and email
If you give us your phone number or email address, we may use it to answer your inquiry, confirm appointments, and send service updates. We send marketing messages only to people who have asked for them. You can stop marketing emails with the unsubscribe link in any message, and you can stop texts by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. We never share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep information
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it. Service inquiries and customer records stay for as long as we serve you and as the law requires for tax and business records. Job applications are kept for a reasonable period so we can consider you for openings, then deleted. Comments and their details stay until we remove them. Website visit data held by Google Analytics follows Google’s retention settings. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, or security reasons
- Stop sending you marketing messages

Security, children, and other sites
Security. The site uses HTTPS, and we use a security service to block attacks. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children. Our services and website are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us, and we will delete it.
Other sites. Our posts and pages may link to other websites, and our customer portal is run by another company. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so read their policies.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top of the policy shows when it last changed, and we post the new version on this page.
